The Candy Shorts price is simple: a standard five-episode series costs 36 tokens to finish, about $3.60. A series starring a licensed creator costs 90 tokens, about $9. Episodes 1 and 2 are free, there’s no season pass, and each paid episode is 12 tokens (30 on licensed series). That’s the whole pricing model; the rest of this page is arithmetic.
Candy Shorts price: the token math
Candy prices 200 tokens at $20, so one token is worth about $0.10. Every paid episode has a fixed cost: 12 tokens on a standard series (about $1.20) and 30 on a licensed-creator series (about $3). To price any series, subtract the free episodes from the total and multiply by the token cost. Most series give two free episodes; Simona Rossi: Wrong But Right gives three.
| Series type | Episodes | Free | Paid | Tokens to finish | About |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard, 5 episodes | 5 | 2 | 3 | 36 | $3.60 |
| Licensed creator, 5 episodes | 5 | 2 | 3 | 90 | $9.00 |
| Standard, 6 episodes | 6 | 2 | 4 | 48 | $4.80 |
| Standard, 15 episodes | 15 | 2 | 13 | 156 | $15.60 |
| Simona Rossi: Wrong But Right | 15 | 3 | 12 | 144 | $14.40 |
| YES MA’AM | 30 | 2 | 28 | 336 | $33.60 |
The longest series in the library runs 34 episodes. Assuming the usual two free episodes and 12 tokens per paid episode, that’s 384 tokens, about $38.40.
Is there a season pass or a Candy Shorts subscription?
No. Episodes unlock one at a time, with no bundle and no discount for finishing a series. No subscription unlocks Candy Shorts by itself either. What exists is a Candy AI plan, and every paid plan includes 100 tokens a month, which is where the saving comes from.
| Candy AI plan | You pay | Per month | Tokens included |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12 months | $47.88, billed once a year | $3.99 | 100 a month |
| 3 months | $26.97 | $8.99 | 100 a month |
| 1 month | $9.99 first month, then $13.99 | $13.99 after the first | 100 a month |
Here is what that does to the per-series price. If you spend the full 100 tokens every month on standard episodes, the 12-month plan ($3.99 a month) works out to about $1.50 per five-episode series. The one-month plan at $9.99 is roughly $3.75 a series, about the same as buying tokens outright. That gap is the whole argument for yearly billing, provided you’ll actually use the tokens.
A month of tokens buys about eight standard paid episodes: two full five-episode series, plus two episodes of a third, with a few tokens left over. Licensed series are pricier, since 100 tokens covers three paid episodes (90 tokens), exactly one licensed series. Tokens also pay for pictures, video, voice calls and cams from the same balance.
See Candy AI PlansWhat else tokens buy
Tokens are Candy AI’s general currency, not a Shorts-only one. Voice calls cost about 3 tokens a minute, so one standard episode (12 tokens) equals about four minutes on a call. Pictures, videos and live cams draw from the same balance. If you chat and watch in the same month, budget for both.
Is Candy Shorts worth it?
For a standard series, yes, if you like the format. About $3.60 buys three paid episodes, which works out to somewhere between $0.60 and $1.20 a minute at 1-2 minutes each. That isn’t cheap next to free tube clips, but you’re paying for a written story with a cliffhanger, and two free episodes let you test the premise first.
It gets harder to justify on the long ones. YES MA’AM runs 30 episodes and costs about $33.60, which is the price of nine shorter series. A licensed series is two and a half times a standard one, so spend those tokens on the performer you actually want. Our full review weighs it up.
How to keep the bill small
- Watch episodes 1 and 2 first. They’re free, and they’re the only trial you get.
- Check the episode count before you start. A five-episode series is 36 tokens; a 15-episode one is 144 to 156.
- Let a plan’s 100 monthly tokens do the work, and remember chat and images draw from the same balance.
- Know the refund rules. Candy refunds only within 24 hours of a card payment, and only if you’ve used 20 tokens or fewer, so unlocking two standard episodes (24 tokens) puts you past it.
- If you cancel, leftover tokens stay.
