I Picked Up a Hitchhiker: Candy Shorts Episodes, Free Ep 1

The most average guy in the world, a beat-up pickup and a stranded hitchhiker on an empty desert road: that’s the setup of I Picked Up a Hitchhiker, a five-episode Candy Shorts series. It’s a stranger-meets-stranger story with nobody else for miles. Episode 1 is free, and it plays with no account.

The premise

It’s a road-trip meet-cute with heat, and the contrast is the hook: an ordinary driver and a woman who clearly isn’t. It’s about 1-2 minutes per episode, with a cliffhanger at the end of each, which fits a story that takes place in a single stretch of highway. I Picked Up a Hitchhiker Candy Shorts suits that: five vertical episodes, nothing wasted. After many series end, the lead character stays available on Candy AI to chat with, a nice extra for a story that wraps up quickly.

I Picked Up a Hitchhiker episodes: what do they cost?

Start with the free part: episode 1 needs no account, and episode 2 needs a free Candy AI account. Episodes 3, 4 and 5 are 12 tokens each. That puts finishing the series at 36 tokens, around $3.60, if you buy tokens at 200 for $20.

There’s no season pass, and no subscription opens Candy Shorts on its own. A paid Candy AI plan includes 100 tokens a month, enough for roughly eight episodes at this price. For more, see the price page.

How explicit is it?

The free episodes are suggestive: the ride, the talk, the heat inside a cab. With only two people and one cab, the free half leans on conversation and charged silences. The explicit scenes arrive in the paid episodes, usually starting at episode 3. Think of I Picked Up a Hitchhiker free as a sampler. For I Picked Up a Hitchhiker Candy AI, the series sits inside the Candy Shorts section.
